In 2012 I co-organized two demo events on Intercontinental Shared Control of Multiple UAVs.
- 28 June: at the 12th International Conference on Intelligent Autonomous System (IAS-12), Jeju Island, Korea
- 14 October: at the IEEE International Conference on Systems Man and Cybernetics 2012 (SMC2012), Seoul, Korea
Brief Demo Description:
Human volunteers from Korea have been enabled with a 3DOF haptic device in order to bilaterally interact with a group of UAVs flying at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, Germany. Communication is realized through an ordinary internet connection, subject to big delay, jittering, and packet loss.
