Periodicity and structure

Approximately a session per month, with two speakers (two talks of different type: a more fundamental and a more applied, a local speaker and an external speaker, a speaker from academy and a speaker from industry or services, etc).

Regular schedule: monday afternoon.


Venue

Unless indicated otherwise, thesis amphitheater (amphitéâtre des thèses), ENSEEIHT, 26 rue Pierre-Paul Riquet (metro station François Verdier), in the city center of Toulouse. Occasionally, SPOT is organized jointly with the MAD seminar at UT1 and takes place at the Manufacture des Tabacs, 21 allée de Brienne, in the city center of Toulouse.

CERFACS (Centre Européen de Recherche et de Formation Avancée en Calcul Scientifique) - research organization focusing on numerical and computational methods for research and industry

CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) - French governmental agency for scientific research
