Solving optimization problems from real-world applications in electrical engineering such as energy optimization in hybrid electric vehicles, or optimization of water pumping and desalination processes, etc. Address the combinatorial optimization challenge of integrating energy sources, with constraints related to their physical, technological and performance characteristics, in combinatorial optimization problems, in particular in deterministic scheduling models such as job-shop scheduling or resource-constrained project scheduling.
Graph-based modeling and solution of problems from various fields of applications: shortest paths in multi-modal graphs representing the multiplicity of transportation modes in an urban environment, dynamic airspace sectorization, Nash equilibrium for multiagent project scheduling problems, etc. Polyhedral analysis, extended formulations, decomposition and hybrid solution methods for vehicle routing problems.
