Biography
Isabelle Queinnec is currently CNRS researcher at LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse University. She received her PhD degree and HDR degree in automatic control in 1990 and 2000, respectively, from University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse. Her current research interests include constrained control and robust control of processes with limited information, with particular interest in applications on aeronautical systems, robotic, electronic, biochemical and environmental processes. She is co-author of a book on saturated systems, of more than 50 journal papers, both in control theory and process engineering and of a toolbox about saturated systems.
She has been serving as member of the IFAC technical committees on "Biosystems and Bioprocesses" and on "Modelling and Control of Environmental Systems", respectively from 2002 and 2005, of the IEEE CSS-CEB from 2013 and member of the IFAC Conference Board (Co-ordinating Committee Vice-Chair CC 8 - Bio- and Ecological Systems) from 2019. She is currently AE for the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control from 2019. She has been serving as the head of her research group from 2007 to 2010 and of the GdR MACS (French CNRS object which gathers all the French community in Control and Production processes) from 2014 to 2021. She has been president of the Scientific Council of the Institute in Information Science and Interactions (INS2I) of CNRS from 2019 to 2021. She is currently Scientific vice-director of the Institute (INS2I-CNRS).
Research Interests
- Modelling and control of biochemical processes, from fedbatch processes (during my PhD and the years which followed) to biofilms involved in wastewater treatment technologies (currently)
- Control of systems involving isolated nonlinear elements (stability analysis, synthesis from scratch, anti-windup strategies), with applications in aeronautics, electrical engineering and robotics
