Daniela Dragomirescu is an invited speaker on the topic "Design and Implementation of UWB Radio Systems" at the UWB Technologies Workshop at IEEE APMC 2011 in Melbourne Australia.

The workshop is organized by Prof. Xiaolii Ma from Georgia Tech Center of Excellence on UWB

Daniela Dragomirescu was invited by Dr. Steve Galea, head of Smart Structures and Advanced Diagnostics Air Vehcles Division, to visit the Defence Science and Technology Organization, Melbourne, Australia

She give an invited presentation on "Wireless Sensor Networks for Structure Health Monitoring".

 

WSN Team will be present at IEEE Globecom 2011

WSN team will present their research results obtained in collaboration with TU Braunschweig and NXP Netherlands in the frame of european project Qstream,  at IEEE Globecom 2011 Conference.

QSTREAM European Project final review meeting in Eindhoven, Netherlands - 24-25 November

The final review meeting of the Qstream project with the European reviewers will be held in Eindhoven, Netherlands on November 24th and November 25th.

WSN worked on 60 GHz transceivers and beamforming system simulation.

WSN Team participated at LAAS Science Day 2011

WSN Team presented its research on Wireless Sensor Networks for Structural Health Monitoring for aircrafts during LAAS Science Day 2011.

Daniela Dragomirescu Chair Session at IWSHM 2011

At the invitation of Prof. Fu-Kuo Chang from Stanford University, General Chair of IWSHM 2011 (International Workshop on Structure Health Monitoring) , Daniela Dragomirescu was Chair Session on "Advanced Diagnostics for Damage Assessment".

I had the pleaseare to host in this session the Best Paper Award :

“ Identifying Scatter Targets in 2D Space using in Situ Phased Arrays for Guided Wave Structural Health Monitoring” by E.B.Flynn, M.D. todd, S.S. Kessler, C.T.Dunn.

 

WSN Team at IWSHM 2011, Stanford University

WSN team presented two papers at IWSHM 2011 (International Workshop on Structure Health Monitoring) at Stanford University, September 2011. These papers present research results of NanoComm project.
