Claude BARON is full professor in computer sciences at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) of the University of Toulouse (France). Her teaching interests are around software programming, systems/software engineering, design and modeling, dependability, with application for real-time, embedded and critical systems. She is mainly involved in master programs.

She performs research in systems and software engineering at the LAAS-CNRS lab where she heads the Systems Engineering and Integration team. Her current research is focusing on systems engineering and decision support in collaboratively managed engineering projects. She is also interested in improving software development process. She co-authored about 240 articles, 7 books and received several awards for her results.
