I am currently working for 8 months (from August 07 to March 08) in the RIS team at LAAS-CNRS. Based on my knowledge in Motion Planning I am designing new methods to provide solutions to problems from graphical animation to robotics or computational biological. My main working collegues are Thierry Simeon (who was also my Ph.D. adviser), Juan Cortes and Ron Alterovitz who is now working in the Berkeley Automation Sciences Laboratory.
From July 2006 to Mars 2007 I took one year off to travel around the world. If you want to follow my trip you can visit my (french) blog.

After 3 years of Ph.D. in the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (RIA) group at LAAS-CNRS, I obtained my Ph.D. in Robotics and Computer Science from Paul Sabatier University in Winter, 2005. From January to June 2006, I was working as Pos-Doc at LAAS. I was investigating problems of motion planning in the context of computational biology.

During my Ph.D. work I proposed to extend the probabilistic methods commonly used in motion planning to the context of reactive environments with both static and dynamic obstacles. You can download my Ph.D. thesis here or an interactive QuickTime movie of my Ph.D slides.
This work was conducted in the context of the European project MOVIE. During these 3 years of exciting and intensive work I had also the chance to visit during two months the Motion Strategy Laboratory , Dept. of Computer Science, University of Illinois with Steve Lavalle as Associate Professor. There I worked mainly with Anna Yershova with whom I had a particularly interesting scientific collaboration. I also visited and exchanged many exciting ideas with people of the Dep. of Info. and Computing Sciences of Utrecht University.

Before my Ph.D I obtained two Masters of Science: one in Automatic Production and another in Imagery, Vision and Robotics. I also obtained a diploma of the mechanical and industrial engineer school SUPMÉCA.
