Stability issues in the theory of complete fluid systems

We consider the Navier-Stokes-Fourier system that may be considered as an
avatar model for a compressible, viscous and heat conducting fluids. We
discuss the issues related to stability of the set of solutions, in
particular, the problems related to uniqueness and some singular limits.
The implications on convergence of certain numerical schemes will be also
presented.
