In the manuscript "Quadratic Matrix Inequalities and Stability of
Polynomials", LAAS-CNRS Research Report No. 00524, December 2000,
in the proof between the equivalence of (b) and (d) in Theorem 1,
only the implication (b) => (d) is proved. The reverse
implication (d) => (b) is not proved, even though I believe
it is correct.

This discrepancy has been pointed out by a reviewer of the French 
translation of this manuscript, "Inégalités matricielles quadratiques
et stabilité des polynômes", LAAS-CNRS Research Report No. 04629,
submitted to the Journal Européen des Systèmes Automatisés in November
2004. I would like to thank this anonymous reviewer, as well as Sophie
Tarbouriech who has been handling this paper as an associate editor.

Consequently, the statement of the equivalence between (b) and (d) has
been removed in Report No. 04629.
